Why Choose Creative Vision Workshops?
Do you want to master technical skills so that you never again miss that once-in-a-lifetime shot? Are you interested in learning advanced techniques—both in the field and the digital darkroom—for making professional-quality images? Are you ready to take your creative vision to the next level? Then Creative Vision Photo Workshops are for you!
Creative Vision Photo Workshops bring together three accomplished nature photographers and educators: Richard Bernabe, Ian Plant, and Joseph Rossbach. The Creative Vision Team has over 50 years of combined photography experience; thousands of images published in magazines, books, and calendars—including top publications such as Outdoor Photographer and Popular Photography; and have taught thousands through their photo workshops and instructional books and articles.
Although Creative Vision workshops are held in some of the most beautiful locations in the country, they are more than just scenery tours. Rather, the goal of each workshop is to allow you to fully explore your personal artistic vision, and to challenge your perceptions to take your photography places you never dreamed of before.
We focus on a number of professional field techniques to help you create dramatic and powerful nature images, including:
• Working with dramatic light including sunrise and sunset;
• The fundamentals of powerful compositions;
• Long exposure techniques for incorporating time and motion in your photographs;
• Night photography including star trails, static star field shots, and light painting; and
• Abstract techniques for creating artistic photographs.
We’ll also teach you a number of professional “digital darkroom” secrets as well. Our hands-on intensive seminars—held during the middle of the day when the light is not conducive for photography—will teach you the fundamentals of image processing, and allow you to master important techniques including:
• Working with adjustment layers;
• Layer masking and image blending techniques;
• Making difficult selections;
• Color management; and
• Special effects techniques used for artistic expression.
Two members of the Creative Vision Team lead each Creative Vision workshop, ensuring that you get an opportunity to work closely with an instructor to explore your personal vision. We aim to keep the learning atmosphere informal and fun—but be prepared to work hard and take your photography to new levels!
